Job summary

We are working with a growing manufacturing client in Upstate NY, seeking a Manufacturing Engineer or CNC Programmer to join the Broome County facility. The ideal candidate has hands-on ESPRIT CAM programming, GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5, CAD experience with Creo, and experience with 3–5 axis machining.

Responsibilities include fixture design, tool selection, interpreting drawings, and driving cycle-time reductions and process standardization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ESPRIT CAM programming.
• Design fixtures and cutting tools to support machining.
• Read and interpret drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Create setup sheets for machine operators.
• G-code/M-code for milling/turning operations.
• 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining experience.
• Creo CAD experience.
• AS9100 or ISO 9001 background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design fixtures and work-holding solutions.
• Select and specify cutting tools, holders, and tooling assemblies.
• Interpret customer engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements.
• Produce tool lists, offsets, datum references, clamping diagrams, and first-piece inspection checkpoints.
• Implement opportunities for cycle time reduction, tool life improvement, and process standardization.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience programming with ESPRIT CAM software

•Experience designing work-holding fixtures and cutting tools to support machining operations

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5

• Experience creating detailed setup sheets for machine operators

• G-code and M-code for milling and/or turning operations

• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining strategies

• Experience with CAD tools (Creo)

• Ideal experiemce with AS9100 or ISO 9001certified manufacturing environment
