Job summary

Vacuum Process Engineering, Inc. seeks a Prototyping and CNC Programming specialist to advance R&D and production parts. You will work with Engineering on quoting, set up and machine parts on 5-axis machines (Matsuura, Haas UMC/VF), and develop fixtures.

A 4–6 year Mastercam background and an AA or equivalent are expected; ISO 9001/AS9100 familiarity and lean manufacturing methods are a plus. This full-time on-site role offers a stable career with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years programming with Mastercam
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 4+ years in manufacturing or engineering tech; 6+ years if applicable
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering is a plus
  • ISO 9001/AS9100; lean manufacturing; root-cause analyses

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering on quoting R&D/Development jobs and provide feasibility feedback
  • Communicate time estimates and progress to project stakeholders
  • Produce programming, setup, and machining of R&D and production parts using 5-axis machines
  • Design and manufacture fixtures for process repeatability
  • Produce Renishaw Probe routines to maximize productivity
  • Write CMM inspection programs for R&D/Development jobs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine/process issues; adjust strategies
  • Operate CNCs for production to meet ramped demand
