PrideStaff is working with a local aerospace machining company in Sumner, WA to hire several CNC Machinists and Senior CNC Programmers. The role leads the department, sets up and runs 2-axis and multi-axis lathes, and performs basic MasterCAM programming. The position is full-time and on-site in Sumner, WA.

The ideal candidate has multiple years of leadership in a machine shop, strong CNC lathe knowledge, and the ability to plan tooling and fixtures and maintain quality with clear communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC Lathe Machinist experience.
• 3+ years MasterCAM experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Solid experience machining Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum alloys and other materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Oversee and manage a small production team across 2 shifts.
• Monitor department efficiency, quality and accuracy.
• Ensure machines run and produce quality parts.
• Plan fixturing and tooling for work orders.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision tools.
• Communicate across programmer, production and tooling departments.
• Test and debug MasterCAM for 3,4,5-axis setups.

CNC Machinist Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local aerospace machining company who is in search of multiple CNC Machinists as well as Senior CNC Programmers to join their team. The CNC Machinist will lead the department and manufacturing of parts which include setting up, running, performing basic CNC Programming, and employee schedules. The ideal CNC Machinist has multiple years of machine shop leadership, solid knowledge of CNC Lathe Machines, basic understanding of CNC Programming and leads with clear communication, attendance and punctuality. The CNC Machinist is a full-time, direct hire position in Sumner, WA.

CNC Machinist Job Responsibilities:

• Set up & Run 2-Axis & Multi-Axis CNC Lathes With Sub-Spindle
• Oversee & Manage The Production Team of 1-3 Employees Over 2 Shifts & The Day-to-Day Production Schedule
• Assist & Monitor The Department For Efficiency, Quality & Accuracy
• Ensure All Machines Are Running & Producing Quality Parts
• Organize & Plan Proper Fixturing & Tooling For Work Orders
• Perform in-Process Inspections Using Precision Measuring Tools, Answer Questions & Suggest Improvements
• Maintain Consistent Communication With Programmer’s, Management, Production, & Tooling Departments
• Perform Basic CNC Lathe Programming (MasterCAM) & Update Set-Up Sheets
• CNC Programmers Will Test & Debug MasterCAM (G-Code/M-Code) For 3,4, & 5-Axis Mills, Lathes, & Mill-Turns With Live Tooling
• Oversee Labor Tickets, Time Cards, & Paperwork /Work Orders Are Accurately Submitted
• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

CNC Machinist Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Related Certification or Trade School Preferred But Not Required
• 3+ Years of CNC Lathe Machinist & Machine Shop Experience Required
• 3+ Years of MasterCAM Experience Required
• Must be Able to Interpret Blueprints, Drawings, Schematics, & Manufacturing Instructions
• Sold Knowledge & Experience Using Calipers, Bore Gauges, Micrometers, & Industry Related Tools
• Must Have Solid Experience With Machining Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Alloys, Copper Alloys, & Non-Metallics Such As Delrin & Nylon
• Excellent Attention to Detail, Accuracy, & Critical Thinking
• Good Work Ethic & Positive Attitude, Team Player, Leads by Example
• Must Have Excellent Attendance & Time Management
• Must be Able to Stand For Extended Periods in a Manufacturing Environment
