Job summary

ZAGO Manufacturing Company in Hanover Township, NJ is seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Machinist/Programmer to join our growing team. You will set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills and lathes to produce precision metal components from engineering drawings.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on CNC experience, Haas control proficiency, and strong measurement skills. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot tooling and quality issues, and work with engineering and quality teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency with Haas CNC machines.
• Proficiency in programming using G-code.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
• Understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and materials.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to manufacture precision metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, optical measurement systems, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, including tooling wear, dimensional deviations, and surface finish problems.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and quality control personnel to improve manufacturing processes and reduce scrap.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records in accordance with company quality procedures.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and company safety procedures.

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
