Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce complex, contoured prototype parts with precision.
- Machine intricate components while maintaining strict quality and accuracy standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Use personal machining tools to complete assigned work efficiently and accurately.
- Support 2nd shift operations, with start times of either 4:15 PM or 6:00 PM depending on workload.
- Work weekly overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail throughout the machining process.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Demonstrated experience setting up and machining complex, precision prototype parts.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Must have the personal tools required to perform machining duties.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
- Ability to work 2nd shift and commit to weekly overtime as needed.
- DoD security clearance is preferred.
- Experience with 5-axis machining or complex 3D machining in an aerospace R&D environment is preferred.
