Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Field Engineer in Fresno, CA to provide the full range of on-site engineering support for a base of large clients. You will own on-site service activity and perform advanced maintenance while contributing to service metrics and documentation.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2–4 years in the area, and a valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle. Unisys offers unlimited PTO, 401(k), healthcare, HSA matching, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provides the full range of Field Engineering support for a base of large/complex clients.
• Owns on-site service activity and completes maintenance tasks.
• Performs advanced-level maintenance on all products and assists with installs.
• Offers technical feedback to improve service delivery and reporting.
• Uses advanced tools to resolve client problems and schedule installs.
• Identifies systemic issues and supports team improvements.

Job description

What success looks like in this role:

• Provides the full range of Field Engineering support for an assigned base of large / complex clients.
• Takes complete ownership of onsite service activity.
• Performs advanced-level maintenance on all products, including low-complexity installation activities.
• Provides technical feedback on equipment, systems and processes to improve overall service delivery.
• Uses advanced tools and technical knowledge to resolve client problems and conduct scheduled installs.
• Identifies and resolves systemic issues within the team.
• Proactively supports the needs of other team members, providing technical assistance and expertise.
• Contributes to improved client services metrics reporting and documentation.
• Monitors technical and process issues, proactively informing the manager and/or team on offering improvement recommendations.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

High School Diploma or GED required May require technical certification or Associate Degree Generally, 2-4 years’ experience in area of responsibility

MUST HAVE:

• A valid drivers license and criminal background verification will be required
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle
