Overview

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting aComputer/Data Science Engineer in Niskayuna, NY. A DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop forms, automate business workflows, and provide data visualizations using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Work with Buyer’s subject matter experts (SME) to understand the functional requirements to meet various KLS office operational streamlining needs.
• Provide a developer user guide documenting the custom application, workflows, and reporting setup.
• Develop an end-user guide for Buyer.
• Utilize Microsoft Power Platform tools effectively and answer any technical related questions.
• Develop a project schedule with associated milestones to complete the Power Platform applications development following completion of functional requirement gathering and documentation.
• Give weekly status updates on the project.
• Communicate schedule delays larger than 8 hours.

Requirements

• A DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required to be considered for this position.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in application development; 2+ years of Microsoft Power Platforms application development required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional requirements.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and consistently maintain development documentation.
• Required to learn, observe, and adhere to all pertinent Site Security, Site Safety, and Site Information Security requirements.
• Knowledge/experience in database development is strongly preferred.

Eligibility

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.

Schedule & Work Hours

This position allows for some remote work offsite. 40 hours a week. Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 12 months with the option to extend the duration based upon business needs. The standard workday shall begin no earlier than 6:00 AM and end no later than 5:30 PM (Eastern standard time).

Salary

$90K to $180K annually.
