Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions is seeking a CAD Checker in the United States to verify layouts, models, and drawings of tactical shelters. The role requires extensive experience with NX, Inventor, or SolidWorks, and a mechanical or electrical background.

You will review specifications, assess drawings for correctness, and ensure proper integration across the design team. You will collaborate with CAD Designers to explain discrepancies and ensure all outputs meet client requirements for

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience in CAD design using Inventor or NX.
• Knowledge of tolerance stack-up, machining, CNC.
• Mechanical and/or electrical background.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Eligible to be processed for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review layouts, models, and drawings of tactical shelters for clients such as the AF, Army, and Navy to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Review customer specifications and SOWs for the program.
• Check individual CAD drawings for correctness and consistency.
• Ensure each drawing is correctly integrated into the overall design.
• Assist Designers in understanding why their drawings may be incorrect.

Description:

The CAD Checker will work directly with the CAD Design team to ensure that layouts, models, and drawings of tactical shelters for clients such as the AF, Army, and Navy are complete and accurate. This person should have all of the skills required to do CAD Design, including an extensive knowledge of NX, Inventor, or Solidworks and a mechanical and/or electrical background. They will be tasked with reviewing customer specifications and SOWs for the program, checking individual CAD drawings for correctness, ensuring that each drawing is incorporated into the entire deign correctly, and helping Designers understand if and why their drawings are incorrect.
