General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) seeks a Senior CAD Engineer to contribute to mission-critical government projects and advance your engineering career.

In this role you will design and engineer CAD work using ONSHAPE, Fusion, and CREO to support the DoS Protective Technology and Countermeasures program and life-safety missions abroad. Candidates must be a US citizen, possess Interim Secret and the ability to obtain Top Secret, and bring 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and efficient implementation of CAD solutions for DoS security projects.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Engineer, Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the United States Department of State (DoS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Office of Security Technology (ST). You will play a crucial role in designing and engineering various computer-aided design efforts that directly support the life-safety mission under the Protective Technology and Countermeasures (PTAC) contract.

• Support the Protective Technology Branch (PTB) mission, providing life-safety services to Chief of Mission (COM) personnel serving abroad in over 200+ locations.
• Collaborate with multiple interagency (IA) partners, senior DS officials, subject matter experts (SMEs), and PTB personnel to drive the mission of the Department forward.
• Drive innovation, change, collaboration, and efficient implementation of new solutions to overcome critical obstacles identified from the customer.
• Utilize CAD design software, ONSHAPE, Fusion, CREO

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The CAD Engineer Senior must have:

• Education: Technical Training in CAD design software.
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience.
• Technical skills: Additive manufacturing (FDM, SLS), subtractive manufacturing (Laser) 3D Scanning. Automotive repair and modification.
• Security clearance level: SECRET
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: ONSHAPE design suite

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
