Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Software Developer Principal to drive AI-enabled software initiatives for mission-critical government projects. You will shape the next generation of full‑stack applications, APIs, and microservices in a secure, scalable environment.

Lead development, test, and deployment across AI SDLC, SecDevOps, AWS, and system integrations, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust solutions while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software development leveraging Java J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot Java frameworks, with a focus on API microservices architecture.
• Proven expertise in implementing SecDevOps practices and tools like Docker, Apache Maven, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
• Hands on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version controls, and automated testing frameworks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
