Job Description

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) to join our team. This is a full-time weekend shift position: Friday, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm. Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance are available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of IVs, heparin locks, and central line usage related to CT procedures, as observed by supervisors and peers.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Accurately identify patients and their files, ensuring no mislabeled films, images, or EMR charts.
  • Track patients according to departmental procedures, identify errors, and correct them promptly, as evidenced by EMR and PACS reports.
  • Participate in departmental and hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings, with attendance documented.

Additional Requirements:

  • Work Schedule: Full-time weekend shift: Friday, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited radiography program. ARRT certification required.
  • License: Radiologic Technologist license required within 12 months for non-hospital licensed centers; not required if working onsite at an Inova hospital.
  • Certification: ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist required. Basic Life Support certification required upon start. CT certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Experience: Prior experience in diagnostic radiology or CT in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
