Job Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment for that purpose. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned and performs all responsibilities outlined in the Computed Tomography (CT) Tech job description. Involved in the practice of radiation and general safety at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations:

• Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB.
• Radiologist Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners, or applicable state where services will be performed.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Computed Tomography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or NMTCB within 2 years of hire.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.

For Pennsylvania locations:

• Graduate from AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Computed Tomography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 2 years of hire.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.

Core Duties

The general responsibilities include preparing rooms and equipment, performing examinations, documenting procedures, maintaining safety standards, producing diagnostic images, and providing patient care tailored to various age groups. Additional duties may include performing IV insertions, administering contrast, and utilizing PACS for image management.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Includes frequent physical activity, ability to lift significant weight, and exposure to various hazards and radiation.

Skills & Abilities

Requires knowledge of patient care, safety protocols, and understanding of patient needs across different developmental stages.
