Job summary

RN.com is seeking a multi-modality Radiology Tech to operate X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. The role supports departmental objectives and collaborates to meet operational goals.

The candidate will perform at least three modalities regularly, hold an ARRT license and certifications, CPR/BLS, and expansive modality certifications. State licensure and ongoing credentialing are required, with preference for higher degrees.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT certification and RT license in the state of practice.
• Current certification in at least one imaging modality and ability to perform at least one other advanced modality (CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, PET).
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) and ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or equivalents (ARRT-M, ARRT-MRI, ARMRIT, ARRT-NMT, RDMS, RDCS, CCI-RCS, RTPET).
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• State licensure as Radiologic Tech (RT) in the practice state.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis.

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required
