Overview

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other technologists, and ensure efficient patient flow. Flexibility to work various shifts and locations is required. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, participating in QA, and maintaining imaging standards. Ongoing education and compliance with safety and technical protocols are essential. The technologist must align with the organization’s mission, values, and culture.

About the Facility

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline is a leading acute care hospital offering comprehensive diagnostic and surgical services, including a Level II Trauma Center, emergency services, ICU, and specialty clinics. It is affiliated with Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center and holds multiple accreditations.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to CHRISTUS Health’s Core Values and departmental policies.

  • Assist radiologists and physicians, ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Adapt patient assessment and care to individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Perform examinations within scope and ensure proper storage in PACS.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of CT experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Radiography (R) license by ARRT required; CT license by ARRT within 1 year of hire.
  • State licensure (Texas: MRT, Louisiana: LRT, New Mexico: RRT/CT/FUS).
  • BLS certification required.
