Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT imaging in Hollywood, FL. The incumbent will perform CT procedures, adhere to safety standards, and ensure quality images while engaging with patients and clinical teams.

This role requires an accredited radiology program, ARRT RT certification, BLS, and CT certification within one year of hire. On-call duties and strict adherence to department policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiology program is required.
• ARRT certification as Radiologic Technologist is required by state law.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.
• Must achieve ARRT CT certification within 1 year of hire date.
• Florida CRT license is required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Take on-call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Charge appropriately for all supplies used and use correct exam codes.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze images for quality.
• Identify image quality issues and reposition/redo procedures as needed.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
• Administer contrast media/medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures.

Summary

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate.Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
