Hennepin Healthcare Computed Tomography Technologist II Job Description

Hennepin Healthcare is an integrated system of care that includes HCMC, a nationally recognized Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, along with a comprehensive healthcare system comprising a 473-bed academic medical center, outpatient clinics, and specialized programs. Position Summary: We are hiring a part-time Computed Tomography Technologist II to work every Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 pm to 3:30 am. This role offers a $100 shift bonus, a $5/hour night shift differential, and a $.90/hour weekend shift differential. An additional $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing patient care and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis.
2. Performing CT exams under physician orders.
3. Reviewing and verifying exam orders and patient identification.
4. Assessing patient risk and preparing patients for procedures.
5. Administering contrast media and performing related tests.
6. Monitoring patient during exams and addressing issues as per protocol.
7. Documenting procedures and managing images in the PACS system.
8. Assisting with CT-guided procedures and training staff.
9. Maintaining equipment and ensuring safety protocols.
10. Participating in departmental education and quality control.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification with the ARRT and CT certification.
• Current CPR certification or obtaining within 6 months.
