Qualifications

• Post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor’s degree plus equivalent training/experience.
• Proven knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python, R).
• Familiarity with job schedulers (SLURM, LSF) and scheduling practices.
• Experience with containers for scientific applications.
• Experience administering the Linux operating system.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and students to advance research with HPC, bioinformatics, cloud technologies, and data analysis.
• Deploy, optimize, and scale computational workloads on NC State’s HPC resources, national centers, and cloud platforms.
• Develop scientific analysis and visualization solutions; provide example code and templates.
• Develop and deliver training programs and technical documentation.
• Assist faculty with budgets, proposals, and resource requests for HPC infrastructure.
