HJF is seeking a Computational Research Scientist I who designs and executes computational and statistical analysis of transcriptomic and viral sequence data obtained from HIV-1 infection and vaccine studies to advance HIV-1 prevention and therapeutic applications.
This position will be in support of the Animal Models & Viral Persistence Section of the Military HIV Research Program, led by Dr. Diane Bolton, a senior immunologist and virologist within MHRP. Specific research projects will investigate transcriptional signatures of immune responses and infected cells to inform HIV-1 vaccine and therapeutic strategies against viral infections. This includes assessment of virus-specific T cells and their relationship to antibody responses and virus control in the setting of infection and vaccination. Data sets are generated using cutting-edge immunology and flow cytometry measurements and next-generation gene expression modalities.
