Qualifications

• Advanced degree in physics, astronomy, computational science, or related field.
• Expertise in scientific computing, data analysis, and numerical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Julia, or similar languages and libraries.
• Experience with software development best practices and documentation.
• Ability to mentor students or collaborators in computational methods.
• Familiarity with HPC, cloud resources, and reproducible research practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication; student-centered teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop computational lab courses and related curricula.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate researchers in computing methods.
• Support faculty research through computational expertise and data management.
• Contribute to secure, scalable departmental computational infrastructure.
• Collaborate across disciplines with faculty, staff, and students.
