Job summary

The Flatiron Institute's Center for Computational Mathematics (CCM) at the Simons Foundation invites applications for Postdoctoral Flatiron Research Fellowships (FRF). FRFs are two-year appointments, based in New York City, with one day per week allowed from home.

Fellows conduct independent research across numerical analysis, ML, statistics, computational biophysics, HPC; mentored by CCM scientists; enjoy generous travel and a research budget and access to computing resources.

Qualifications

• Ability to do original and outstanding research independently and collaboratively.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in one of our areas of interest.
• Publish results in scientific journals and present at seminars.
• Mentor students through our summer internship program.
• Contribute to open-source software and participate in FI center activities.

Education

Ph.D. in relevant field
