Job summary

Preventive is seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist to lead computational genomic analysis for low-input and single-cell studies in gene-edited samples. You will shape study design, define controls, and translate complex sequencing data into actionable decisions, with hands-on wet-lab opportunities as needed.

You will collaborate with experimental teams to establish hypotheses, acceptance criteria, and follow-up experiments, while building robust, reproducible workflows and reporting practices

Qualifications

• BS+ and 4+ years in a relevant field.
• Fluency in R or Python; experience analyzing NGS data and building reproducible workflows.
• Demonstrated expertise with low-input/single-cell assays.
• Working knowledge of molecular biology and NGS assay principles.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end analysis of genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic data from raw reads to reporting.
• Analyze single-cell data and low-input assays; handle UMI, sparse data, and doublets.
• Perform genome-wide off-target profiling for edited samples.
• Work with teams to define hypotheses, controls, replication, and acceptance criteria.
• Build reproducible workflows with version control and container management.
• Present analytical plans and results to diverse audiences.
