Job summary

Thermon Industries, Inc is seeking an entry-level FEA/CFD engineer to support heat tracing projects through thermal analysis and reporting. Under supervision, you will perform FEA/CFD studies and contribute to product development and field troubleshooting.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD, plus proficiency in Autodesk CFD and MS Office; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provide Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to support heat tracing projects, R&D verification, product development, field troubleshooting and sales efforts.
• Provide engineering support to Thermon subsidiaries and clients.
• Provide design analysis and produce accurate, detailed FEA/CFD reports.

The Role

Under supervision, provides Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to support heat tracing projects, R&D verification, product development, field troubleshooting and sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Responsible for providing engineering support to Thermon subsidiaries and clients.
• Provides design analysis to help Thermon personnel and clients make educated decisions on projects.
• Provides accurate and detailed reports of FEA/CFD results.

Key Characteristics, Competences and Skills

• Ability to interact successfully with internal and external clients
• Working knowledge of Heat transfer and Thermodynamics Fundamentals
• 1+ years experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD program
• Strong written & oral communication skills in English required. Skills in other languages are considered beneficiary

Knowledge and Experience

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years of FEA/CFD experience with focus on thermal analysis
• Experience with Autodesk CFD preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office
