Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA seeks a temporary Research Intern (hourly) to perform investigative computational experiments in the Srivatsan Lab. This role will support dry-lab work and contribute to analyses of high-throughput single-cell genomics data, working closely with bench scientists.

The ideal candidate is enrolled as an undergraduate, has strong computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and can learn new tools quickly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Able to learn new tools quickly and independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexible and able to work independently without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform dry-lab experiments to support investigative work.
• Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments.
• Interpret and report on experimental results.
• Attend lab meetings.
• Present scientific findings at lab meeting.
• General lab/cluster cleaning and organization.
• Perform other duties as required.
