Job summary

FUCHS Lubricants Co. is seeking a Chemical Operator for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) to help produce high-performance lubricants used in automotive and industrial applications.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include blending materials per specs, operating mixers and pumps, using SAP for inventory, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical experience a plus.
• 2+ years in manufacturing preferred; experience with compounding, blending, or mixing.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying temperatures.
• Basic computer skills including SAP and MS Office.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move packaging materials.
• Blend raw materials into high-quality products per customer specs.
• Follow batch instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Operate mixers, pumps, and mills via analog and HMI controls.
• Input material movements into SAP using RF Scanner to manage inventory and production data.
• Load/unload bulk tankers and railcars; operate spotter truck.
• Label and fill packaging items in compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards.
• Complete batch tickets and manufacturing logs; maintain a safe work area.

Salary

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity. This position is for 3rd shift with hours from 10 pm - 6:30 am.

Your Responsibilities

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to be part of a team that keeps industries running? As a Chemical Operator, you’ll play a key role in creating high-performance lubricants that power everything from cars to wind turbines. You’ll work in a fast-paced, safety-first environment where your contributions truly matter.

• Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate forklifts or pallet jacks to retrieve and move packaging materials.
• Blend raw materials into high-quality products based on precise customer specs
• Follow detailed batch instructions to ensure consistency and quality
• Operate mixers, pumps, and mills through analog and HMI controls
• Using an RF Scanner, input material movements into SAP software to manage inventory and production data
• Load and unload bulk tankers trucks and operate a spotter truck
• Unload railcars raw materials
• Label and fill packaging items in compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards.
• Accurately measure and weigh chemicals into designated containers, following detailed instructions.
• Complete batch tickets and manufacturing logs to ensure full compliance with company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
• Report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisors promptly.
• Support other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical experience a plus!)
• 2+ years in manufacturing preferred
• Experience with compounding, blending, or mixing required
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying temperatures
• Basic computer skills (SAP, MS Office)
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures, from hot to cold.
