Job summary

RTX is seeking a Compression Systems Design Engineer I for OKC/Tinker AFB to support MRO activities across Pratt & Whitney military engines. The role starts with three 8-month rotations in Design, Structures, and Project Engineering within the ELMT group, collaborating with P&W engineers and military customers.

The position emphasizes CAD-based design, structural evaluations, and sustaining engine health, with exposure to customer-facing interactions and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering by start date.
• Experience with CAD.
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Contributing as part of the P&W Engineering Team in supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
• Executing Design and Structures evaluations for engine hardware.
• Monitoring and trending hardware health for CIP and repair tasks.
• Engaging in a customer-facing role.
