Job summary

TDG Facilities LLC is seeking a skilled Compressed Air Service Technician to service and maintain commercial and industrial air systems in the Cincinnati area. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support HVAC-related tasks for clients across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of HVAC experience and strong mechanical aptitude. A company vehicle is provided; typical schedule is Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial air compressors.
• Service rotary screw, reciprocating, and other common compressor technologies.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, control, temperature, pressure, and airflow-related equipment issues.
• Perform compressor maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations and operating-hour intervals.
• Inspect and service refrigerated and desiccant compressed-air dryers.
• Troubleshoot condensate drains, filtration systems, regulators, receivers, and related equipment.
• Identify compressed-air leaks, pressure problems, excessive temperatures, moisture issues, and other system deficiencies.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting of motors, starters, contactors, VFDs, control circuits, and sensors.
• Evaluate equipment condition and provide recommendations for repair, overhaul, or replacement.
• Document equipment information, operating conditions, run hours, service findings, deficiencies, and completed repairs.
• Develop and communicate corrective actions to customers and internal teams.
• Support installation and replacement of compressors, dryers, receivers, filtration equipment, piping, and components.
• Maintain safe work practices and perform lockout/tagout procedures.

Our Skilled Trades team is seekinga full-time mobile Compressed Air Service Technician – HVAC / Industrial Mechanical to primarily support our clients in the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Region.

This role will perform service, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial compressed-air systems and related mechanical equipment, as well as provide support in other HVAC disciplines such as preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. This position is ideal for a mechanically strong HVAC or industrial service technician who has experience with air compressors, dryers, filtration, pneumatic systems, motors, controls, and related equipment. The technician will work independently in the field while supporting customers with reliable equipment operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

TDG provides a company vehicle for delivery of service and tooling to support this role.

Schedule: The typical schedule for this Full-Time position is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (with occasional on-call responsibilities scheduled within a team rotation).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial air compressors.
• Service rotary screw, reciprocating, and other common compressor technologies.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, control, temperature, pressure, and airflow-related equipment issues.
• Perform compressor maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations and operating-hour intervals.
• Replace and service common compressor components, including:
  • Air and oil filters
  • Separators
  • Lubricants
  • Belts and couplings
  • Valves
  • Hoses and fittings
  • Motors and starters
  • Sensors and switches
  • Controls and related components
• Inspect and service refrigerated and desiccant compressed-air dryers.
• Troubleshoot condensate drains, filtration systems, regulators, receivers, and related compressed-air equipment.
• Identify compressed-air leaks, pressure problems, excessive temperatures, moisture issues, and other system deficiencies.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting of motors, starters, contactors, VFDs, control circuits, and sensors.
• Evaluate equipment condition and provide recommendations for repair, overhaul, or replacement.

• Perform general HVAC/mechanical service activities when required based on technician qualifications and customer needs.
• Maintain safe work practices including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Diagnose and perform minor HVAC system repairs.

• Be part of a periodic rotation for on call emergencies after hours
• Maintain detailed and complete records of maintenance, repair, and testing activities
• Maintain truck stock and inventory within company guidelines
• Develop and maintain client relationships including participation in client meetings
• Use computer/tablet/mobile devices to modify and monitor work order management system
• Other tasks as assigned
