Job summary

Job Summary

This position serves the Department as a full-time comprehensive ophthalmologist. A comprehensive list of duties and expectations will be outlined in an MSP Physician contract upon appointment.

Minimum Qualifications – For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
  • California medical license
  • Board certification required.
  • MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) required
  • Successful completion of an ophthalmology residency at the time of appointment
  • No minimum work experience required
  • Knowledge, training, and skills to treat patients needing comprehensive ophthalmic care at a level expected by the medical staff requirements of UC Davis Health
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical and clinical sciences across a range of specialties
  • Familiarity with current diagnostic methods, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices
  • Knowledge restless of public health principles and infection control protocols
  • Awareness of ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in healthcare delivery
  • Understanding of hospital/clinic policies, documentation systems, and electronic health records (EHR) skills

Work Environment
