Job Summary and Duties

Geisinger Eye Institute has openings to join their well-established practice with multi-specialty Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. Opportunities include developing a program, conducting research, and teaching residents at a large, tertiary referral center.

This is a great opportunity to join the growing Geisinger system. Geisinger is a physician-led system providing comprehensive patient care to a large rural and urban population in central and northeast Pennsylvania, and is the region's largest healthcare employer.

Our practice:

• Utilizes advanced diagnostic technologies such as FA, Fundus Camera, HVF, Goldman Field, IOL Master, OCT, Pachymetry, and Topography
• Offers treatment options including SLT Laser, YAG Laser, and Argon Laser
• Operates surgical facilities on main campus and nearby outpatient centers
• Includes residency training within our program
• Provides support from Advanced Practitioners
• Features over 50 exam rooms in clinics
• Shares call responsibilities (home call)
• Serves a large referral base from onsite Optometrists, local Ophthalmologists, and satellite offices
