Job summary

Dell Medical School in Portland, OR is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical assessment, examination, and treatment of pregnant women with fetal disorders. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in outpatient and hospital settings to ensure high-quality care.

Preferred candidates hold an NP license, MSN/Doctoral in Nursing, national board certification, and DEA registration; experience in obstetrics/gynecology is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted NP license in the practicing state (Texas).
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
• Current DEA license.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use software for data entry and access to EMR systems in outpatient/inpatient settings.
• Ability to work in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment with strong team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care.
• Perform all admission history & physicals.
• Conduct daily hospital rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with therapeutic fetal surgery plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies.
• Discharge planning including documentation, writing prescriptions, explaining discharge instructions, and patient education.
• Willingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills for fetal viability and invasive procedure guidance.
• Chart review and data collection for neonatal follow-up in the clinical database.
• Multi-disciplinary conference presentation preparation.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical care.
• Ensure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of healthcare services to patients.
• Provide patient navigation to coordinate care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in medical student, OB/GYN resident, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellow education.
• Support and participate in research initiatives within the Center.
• Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying organization (e.g., AANP or ANCC)
• Current (Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
• Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to utilize software for data entry, information retrieval as well as outpatient and inpatient electronic medical records
• Aptitude to work in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in women’s health, OBGYN or family medicine preferred.

Salary Range

$110,000+ depending on qualifications
