Responsibilities

  • Follow lock out tag out procedures before starting tasks.
  • Clean and sanitize kettles, valves, blades, and attachments per SOP.
  • Reassemble components after cleaning.
  • Clean and sanitize transfer pumps and mixers; reassemble.
  • Provide DI water at 80C to Production as needed for cleaning.
  • Document cleaning activities in the Cleaning Logbook.
  • Report issues to Sanitation leadership.

Position Summary

Compounding Room Cleaner is responsible for cleaning all of the equipment, kettles and associated kettle parts as stated in Swiss American CDMO Standard Operating Procedures and other duties assigned by the Sanitation Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow and perform lock out tag out procedures for isolating air, electrical or hydraulic energy prior to starting job task. Report any safety issues or concerns immediately to Sanitation or Safety leadership.
  • Properly, clean, and sanitize all kettles following the Standard Operating Procedures set by Swiss American CDMO. This includes the valve, blades, sideswipe blades, and mixers attached to the kettle, if applicable.
  • Re-assemble and re-connect the valve, blades, and side sweep blades.
  • Properly clean and sanitize all transfer pumps following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss American CDMO.
  • Reassemble the transfer pump.
  • Properly clean and sanitize all mixers following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss American CDMO.
  • Reassemble the mixer.
  • Provide DI Water at 80C in mobile kettle to the Production Department when needed to perform cleaning activities.
  • Re-sanitize equipment including the kettles, transfer pumps, piping, and ancillary mixers once the “Use by Date and time” has expired.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing and maintain the cleanliness of the Compound Room, to include floors, walls, catwalk, steam, and chiller piping, electrical panels/drop cords, and the outside surfaces including framework of all equipment and kettles.
  • Document all required information in the Cleaning Logbook and attach a cleaning tag to the equipment, kettle, transfer pump, or ancillary mixer.
  • Communicate any and all issues that may be present during or after performing job tasks to Sanitation leadership.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
