Job summary

ASG PHARMACY in Lake Charles, LA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for an on-site, Monday–Friday role from 8:00 to 5:30. Pay is $20–$30 per hour, with an ASAP start.

You’ll support medication preparation, enter prescription orders, label and package drugs, and help maintain safety and sterility. A Louisiana tech license is required; PTCB/NHA is preferred; sterile compounding experience is a plus or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• A valid Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy technician license.
• PTCB or NHA certification is preferred.
• Prior experience in sterile compounding is a plus, or a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacology is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization procedures and maintain sterility in medication preparation areas.
• Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system and verify patient information.
• Fill, label, and package prescriptions according to protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards to maintain a compliant work environment.
• Support pharmacy team members with various operational tasks as needed.
