Job summary

ASG PHARMACY in Lake Charles, LA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join our fast-paced, growing team. The role supports medication preparation and patient safety, with on-site hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and an ASAP start.

You’ll work closely with experienced pharmacy professionals in a state-of-the-art facility focused on innovation, safety, and excellence, performing sterile preparation, accurate data entry, and precise dispensing under regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician with LA Board certification.
• PTCB or NHA certification is preferred.
• Experience or willingness to learn sterile compounding.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Knowledge of pharmacology required.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization procedures and maintain sterility in preparation areas.
• Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system and verify patient data.
• Fill, label and package prescriptions according to protocols.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards in a clean environment.

• Filling, labeling, and packaging prescriptions according to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Adhering to safety, health, and regulatory standards to maintain a compliant and clean work environment.

What You’ll Bring

• A valid Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy technician license.
• PTCB or NHA certification is preferred.
• Prior experience in sterile compounding is a plus, or a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of pharmacology is required.
