We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Compounder I - 3rd Shiftsupporting our Manufacturing Team, you will be trusted to weigh and compound chemicals, test, and release the solution for use in production at Fort Worth, Texas in US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Compound Media solution for revalidation of filling process

  • Orders supplies through Maximo system, Perform LV8 and SAP system entries

  • Operates general manufacturing equipment, such as autoclaves, ovens, stills, and filtration apparatus.

  • Mix compound ingredients for liquid products, suspensions, ointments, mixes, or blends for tablet granulations and capsule powders.

  • Handles raw materials and intermediate or finished products.

  • Conducts general maintenance as required on pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, tablet compression machines, etc.

  • Performs standard procedures to meet current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain records as required

  • Conducts Safety and Quality Audits

  • Participates in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to improve program quality, cost, and scheduling. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

  • Performs area sanitation.



Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Work hours: Sunday through Thursday: 10:30pm - 7:00am

  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

Physical Demands Requirements:

  • Lift and lower up to 50 lb.

  • Frequently push and pull up to 45 lb.

  • Full range of motion of neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and back.

  • Constant standing, frequent walking, occasional sitting, and occasional climbing stairs.

  • Frequent sedentary work, occasional light work, and occasional medium work.
