Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the production of batches using the Batch Master Record System.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment to mix and blend chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area.

Skills

Familiar with Batch Coding System of Manufacturing

Job description

BASIC FUNCTION

Produce bulk with the use of a multiple phase batch making process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the production of batches using the Batch Master Record System.
  • Help record production data, including raw materials used, quantities, and timing.
  • Check raw materials before production to ensure they match the batch sheet requirements.
  • Follow production procedures carefully for accurate measurements and mixing.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment to mix and blend chemicals according to provided formulas.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area according to SOPs.
  • Follow safety precautions and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess knowledge of proper use of weight scales
  • Individuals must be able to operate manufacturing equipment such as but not limited to: mixers, blenders and industrial equipment such as drum movement equipment and forklifts. Forklift certification required.
  • Must be familiar with Batch Coding System of Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of use of radio frequency devices (RF scanners).
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative
  • Scientific Math Aptitude/Strong Analytical Skills
  • Detail oriented with impeccable organizational skills.
  • Has basic working knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
  • Ability to work independently, self motivated
  • Ability to read, understand and follow given recommendation of SDS sheets (Safety Data Sheets).

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • High school or equivalent GED

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year compounding in cosmetics/personal care industry.
