Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Dalton, GA is recruiting a Compounder for 1st shift. You will handle SAP-based material orders, receive and inventory raw materials, and log batch data.

You will program Latex in PLC via HMI and monitor tanks to ensure correct inventory levels, with overtime and weekend requirements as needed. A strong candidate will have SAP and Excel/Word skills, good math, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced chemical

Responsibilities

• Order raw materials in SAP.
• Receive raw materials in SAP.
• Inventory all Raw Materials and Chemical and record electronically.
• Record each batch & items received on compounding log.
• Program Latex formulas in PLC via HMI Screen.
• Follow Production schedule and maintain proper inventory levels of Latex for each coater.
• Monitor holding tanks for cleaning requirements.
• Closely monitor the equipment and process.
• Respond quickly to equipment/ process issues.
• Maintain driver log for Filler and Hydrate.
• Monitor Wastewater tank for ability to use.
• Manage Material deliveries from Vendor when they arrive.
• Coordinate which material is received in correct storage tanks.
• Daily email communication of batch production and current issues needing addressed.

• Order raw materials in SAP

• Maintain driver log for Filler and Hydrate
• Monitor Wastewater tank for ability to use.

• Daily email communication of batch production and current issues needing addressed
• This position has Mandatory OT when required.
• This position will require Mandatory Saturday when required.
• Maintain a clean work area
• Handling chemicals and following all Safety and PPE protocols.

Qualifications:

• Must have Windows experience
• Must have good math skills.

• Must have SAP experience

• Must be able to work alone
• Must be able to use Excel
• All excel sheets are not basic sheets.
• Must know Word and how to create documents
• Any Lab testing experience is a plus
• Must have excellent prioritization skills.
• Must be able to trouble shoot by process of elimination.
• Must have mechanical skills
• Must be able to communicate in English, written and verbal.
• Must be able to move & lift to 50 lbs.
• Must conform to safe work practices
• Must have excellent attendance
• Must be able to track inventory
• Must be able to communicate with Vendors
• Must be able to work last minute Overtime
• This is a requirement.

Must be able to train on all 3 shifts during the training period.
