Job summary

Sunrider Manufacturing is seeking a Compounding Operator to set up and operate processing equipment, train others on equipment and processes, and ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety policies.

The role requires following batch records, maintaining clean work areas, and accurately documenting lots and quantities while meeting production goals. Regular duties include operating equipment, performing maintenance checks, and potential cross-departmental work as needed.

Qualifications

  • Follow all safety policies and contribute to a safe work culture.
  • Set up, operate, adjust, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain production equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize production surfaces and equipment.
  • Collect updated batch records and verify ingredients and formulas.
  • Document lots and quantities accurately and follow step-by-step instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure inventory accuracy by scanning material movements.
  • Meet production goals and report downtime or process interruptions.
  • Notify supervisor of safety, quality or downtime issues promptly.
  • Support other production departments as needed and follow procedures.

Summary

Responsible for the set-up and operation of processing equipment. Compounding Operator will be required to operate all equipment within the department and will train others on the equipment and processes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follow all safety policies and strive to improve our safety culture by identifying, reporting, and correcting unsafe conditions in the workplace.
  • Follows all GMPs and food safety policies to protect our brand.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Set-up, operate, adjust, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain all production equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize production food contact surfaces and equipment.
  • Collects updated batch records for product being produced .
  • Verifies all ingredients are correct and batch records are followed per formula. Document all lots and qtys accurately. Follow instructions step-by-step. (qty, mixing times, etc )
  • Ensure all utensils are clean after use.
  • Verify inventory accuracy by scanning material when it is physically moved.
  • Effectively run equipment and meet production goals using HR x HR tracking. Report downtime and process interrupters.
  • Promptly notify Production Lead/Supervisor of safety, quality or downtime issues.
  • Follow departmental procedures and help develop procedures.
  • Maintain production logs and complete production and quality checks as required.
  • May be requested to work in other production departments as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
