Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking a Batchmaker in Minnesota to operate and tend production equipment, mix materials, and ensure batches meet work instructions. You’ll monitor high-speed dispersers, pumps, and flow meters, adjusting as needed under QC guidance, while maintaining 5S standards and safety.

The position requires 1–3 years of related production experience, a high school diploma, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related production experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to read batch tickets and prepare labels for products; basic math
• Able to operate high-speed dispersers and other operating equipment
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds, read digital scales and flow meters
• Experienced forklift operator

Responsibilities

• Produce paint and related products by setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials
• Prepare disperser and letdown tank for production and clean up as needed
• Monitor and control disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters and other instruments to ensure batch conforms to work instructions
• Adjust batch under QC guidance until approved
• Coordinate with floor supervisor to determine raw materials and batch sequence
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and participate in inventory counts
• Assist in other departments if needed (filling, material handling)
• Communicate spills or hazards to shift supervisor and ensure safe work area
• Perform dust collector cleanouts when required
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
