Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a Compound Lab Technician to join our team in St. Louis, MO. You will prepare samples from bench top to pilot scale and generate work orders in JDE Enterprise. You will perform chemical tests and maintain inventory to support production and customer samples.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using equipment from bench top to pilot scale quantities per written procedures.
• Generate work orders using JDE Enterprise software.
• Perform testing on prototype and finished good samples following SOPs and/or methods.
• Perform laboratory wet chemical tests using written methods and procedures.
• Use of general laboratory equipment including pipets, burets, KF titrator, colorimeter, UV-Vis, and analytical balances.
• Approve, adjust, and reject samples per product guidelines; record results and maintain inventory of raw materials.
• Provide back up for other Sample Room functions and ensure SQF compliance.

Sensient is growing!! The Natural Color Conversion is here!! We are adding an Compound Lab Technician to our team. The Compound Lab Technician will

be instrumental in creating color samples for our customers that will ultimately lead to new business for Sensient.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare samples using appropriate equipment from bench top to pilot scale quantities per written procedures.
• Generate work orders using JDE Enterprise software system.
• Perform testing on prototype and finished good samples following standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
• Perform a variety of laboratory wet chemical tests using written methods and procedures.
• Use of general laboratory equipment including pipets, burets, KF titrator, colorimeter, UV-Vis, and analytical balances.
• Approve, adjust, and reject samples, following product guidelines and specifications. Record results on every sample analyzed using lab software and databases. Maintain virtual and physical inventory of raw materials so compounded samples can be produced as needed, including occasional cycle-counts.
• Provide back up for other Sample Room functions, including Sample Coordinator, and Sample Technician positions. Ensure the highest level of commitment to Safe Quality Food (SQF) to provide assurance that all products have been prepared, tested and handled according to the highest possible standards.
