Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking Composite Laminator/ Composite Bonder Laminator 1 based in El Segundo, CA. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and excellent people skills.

Job Functions:

• Fabricate composite parts, which may include bonding prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, and part handling.
• Handle perishable materials, paying close attention to expiration dates, out time life, and traceability information.
• Follows all planning, visual aids, and process work instructions.
• Operate handheld tools (e.g., scissors, razor knives, grinders, drills, sanders, cutting wheels, etc.).
• Excels in a team environment, supports other departments or completes other duties as necessary.
• Work in both FOE critical and FOE sensitive environments and observe all related safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Basic Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of composite manufacturing/fabrication experience or approved composites certificate program.
• Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible/changing schedules including weekends.
• Ability to work in El Segundo, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Composite fabrication experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability and able to work under limited supervision.
• Be able to operate autoclave and curing ovens.

Salary Range: $52,000 - $78,000
