Job summary

Stanley Black and Decker East Longmeadow, MA is seeking a Composite Weld Operator to join our team on a 3:30pm–2:00am schedule, Monday through Friday. You will mount coils, set up the welder, and inspect welds using a microscope, ensuring material integrity and safety.

The role requires 1–2 years of welding experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and offers a $21.00 base plus 9% shift premium ($22.89/hour) with a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ preferred experience.
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
• Use of numbers including decimals.

Responsibilities

• Mount coils and feed through deburring rolls and welders, ensuring proper material flow.
• Set up welder, install locks, adjust beam, voltage and amperage; inspect bead quality under microscope.
• Maintain cleanliness, lubrication, and replace worn rollers and seals as required.
• Monitor operation, adjust as needed and ensure safety procedures are followed.
