Job summary

Fralock is seeking a Composite Technician I (Autoclave) for a full-time, onsite role in Valencia, CA. You will work the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Mon–Fri, with a 10% shift differential.

Salary ranges from $19.50 to $25.00 per hour, DOE, plus comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will perform composite layup processes, bonding, trimming, curing, and inspection, ensuring high-quality, on-schedule output while meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and materials per blueprint drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform visual inspection of incoming products for contamination/defects and validate against BOM.
  • Work with composite materials including polyimides, fiberglass, metals following procedures.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Report defects, document inspections, and issue nonconformance tags.

Job Summary

The Composite Technician I is responsible for executing the composite layup process, including bonding, trimming, curing, and inspection on products for direct sale or integration into larger assemblies. This role focuses on producing high-quality products safely, efficiently, and on schedule while meeting both internal and external customer requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify quality issues, and flexibility to support multiple functions through cross-training.

Under close supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

  • Assembly of components and material accurately and efficiently according to blueprint drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Perform visual inspection on incoming products for contamination and defects and validation against Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Use of a variety of composite materials, including polyimides, sealants, fiberglass, metals, and related materials while adhering to procedures.
  • Perform in-process and final inspection to ensure compliance with specifications, utilizing precision measuring tools.
  • Remove defective materials and report any part, tooling, or equipment issues to supervision promptly.
  • Document inspection results, prepare rejection tags, and report all nonconformances to Production Supervisor.
  • Participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Cross-train and rotate across multiple workstations to support production needs and efficiency.
