Job description

We are seeking a skilled Composite Technician to join our team in Cromwell Connecticut. This role involves fabricating, assembling, repairing, and inspecting composite parts and structures used in aerospace, marine, automotive, or industrial applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with composite materials, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and safety protocols.

Pay $21-24 an hour

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, lay up, trim, bond, and assemble composite components using fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other materials.
  • Operate tools and equipment including vacuum bagging, ovens, autoclaves, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Mix and apply resins, adhesives, and sealants per specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Repair damaged composite structures and components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Document work performed in accordance with company and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience working with composites (aerospace, marine, or manufacturing environment).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of composite layup, curing, sanding, and finishing techniques.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
