Job summary

Seasats in San Diego, CA is seeking a skilled Composite Fabricator to assemble composite structures for unmanned surface vessels. You will bond hulls, decks, bulkheads and hardware using structural adhesives, while ensuring quality and repeatability across assemblies.

You’ll work from engineering drawings, use fixtures to maintain alignment, and participate in process improvements with engineering and production teams. Safety and crisp workmanship are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fabrication experience with composites or equivalent trades.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and work orders.
• Willingness to train in composite-specific techniques and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Bond hulls, decks, bulkheads and hardware using epoxy and structural adhesives.
• Prepare bonding surfaces through sanding, cleaning and abrasion.
• Install bonded inserts, brackets and mounting plates into composites.
• Read drawings and instructions to build assemblies accurately.
• Use fixtures and jigs to ensure alignment and repeatability.
• Trim, drill, fit and finish composite parts per design requirements.
• Inspect assemblies for quality, fit and workmanship before handoff.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturability and processes.
