Job summary

Karman Space and Defense is seeking a hands-on Fiberglass Technician to support submarine fleet production and maintenance programs. You will fabricate, repair, and prep molds using fiberglass materials, working closely with teammates to meet strict specifications.

The role emphasizes reading manuals, following instructions, and maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift and handle heavy parts and use PPE as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 and ability to follow repair instructions.
• Read service manuals and perform basic math as required.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and composites.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on fiberglass parts, ensuring correct thickness and contours.
• Prepare molds by applying wax, sealers, and release agents.
• Handle chemicals and composite materials safely during fabrication.
• Collaborate with team to meet production timelines.
• Maintain high attention to detail and adhere to safety procedures.
