Job summary

Jobot in Camarillo, CA seeks a design engineering professional to translate customer needs into engineering specs using SolidWorks and to support prototype builds and testing. Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of composites and manufacturability.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and exposure to FEA tools.
• Ability to contribute to Stage-Gate deliverables and manage tasks on schedule.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to understand technical needs and provide guidance.
• Translate requirements into engineering specifications and material recommendations.
• Participate in prototype builds, sample prep, and validation testing.
• Refine SolidWorks models with tooling engineers for manufacturability.
• Support design reviews and technical discussions with the team.
• Assist with material selection, layup design, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Develop composite concepts using SolidWorks and FEA tools for DFM.
• Contribute to Stage-Gate deliverables and ensure timely completion of tasks.
