BETA Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Composites Design Engineer to develop detailed composite concepts under senior direction. This onsite role is based in South Burlington, VT with Raleigh, NC as another office option; hybrid remote with monthly visits to VT is possible.

You will create laminate layouts, coordinate with design and manufacturing teams, and document assumptions and risks. The role emphasizes adherence to methods, oversights, and verification needs during reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, materials, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience with composites.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and product definition; CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE preferred.
• Ability to communicate across disciplines; US Person eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Create laminate and core layouts, ply concepts, joints, producibility features, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with Senior Composites; Structures Design; Stress; Manufacturing; NDT.
• Produce and maintain Composite layouts; ply and core definitions; detail studies; design documentation.
• Document assumptions, interfaces, decisions, risks, and verification needs in configuration-controlled records.
• Communicate status, unresolved issues, and recommended actions clearly in reviews.
• Support the Program Director / Chief Engineer by adding product-definition capacity while preserving senior oversight.
