Job summary

Pyka is seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Composite Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Alameda, CA. You will work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and epoxy resins to build high-performance components, with on-the-job training provided.

This full-time role focuses on secondary processing, component assembly, material prep, lamination, tooling, finishing, and quality checks, contributing to scalable production and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade school certificate.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, work with resins and dust with PPE.
• Precise, quality-focused mindset for tight tolerances and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the completion of composite components delivered by outside vendors and optimize workspace flow.
• Bond, fasten, and assemble composite structures and hardware using blueprints and SOPs.
• Prepare composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, core materials) per ply patterns.
• Perform wet layup lamination ensuring no voids or wrinkles.
• Clean, prep, and apply release agents to molds and fixtures before production.
• Trim, sand, deburr, and finish cured composite parts to exact specs.
• Inspect finished parts and document quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear PPE per protocols.
