Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Composite Assembler for their Valencia, CA facility. The role requires assembling honeycomb, inserts, rivets and related parts to meet drawings and test procedures. This is a Temp-Direct position with competitive pay and benefits.

The candidate should have 2+ years in composite operations, read blueprints, and follow safety and maintenance instructions. The job includes lifting up to 25 pounds and a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Two+ years of Composite Operator/technician experience.
• Ability to read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to do simple math.
• Must be able to adjust to changing workload demands and maintain integrity.
• Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently 10–25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Positions and assembles according to instructions, routings and blueprints.
• Measures parts to specified tolerances.
• Receives job package with final card, special instructions, blueprint and procedures.
• Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws.
• Completes a nonconforming material report for flaws.
• Sends assembled products to inspection; performs in-process and final inspection.

Job description

Johnson Service Group is looking for a Composite Assembler with 2 year working in an Aerospace environment.

Composite Operator assembles products such as honeycomb, felt metal, inserts, splitters, adhesive, rivets, flanges, and sanding product to meet drawing dimensions until they are completed to acceptance test procedures and routing operations by performing the following duties.

This is a Temp-Direct job in Valencia, CA for an Aircraft company. Pay Rate: $23.00 HR DOE

Essential Responsibilities

• Positions and assembles according to special instructions, routings and blueprints.
• Measures parts to specified tolerances.
• Receives job package consisting of final card, special instructions, blueprint and acceptance test procedures for each job.
• Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws.
• If flaws exist, completes a nonconforming material report.
• Sends assembled products to inspection for in process and final inspection.
• Rework on non-conforming products.
• Cleans, assemblies, dis-assemblies and replaces parts as required Operates pneumatic tools, belt sander, riveting machine and hand tools to aid in assembly.
• Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints and inks, as required.
• Keeps assembly department clean and free of foreign object damage.
• Uses equipment such as grinder, belt sander, drill press, magnifying glass (microscope), ohm meter, epoxy machine, ovens, sonic machine, test rigs, fixtures and gauges, and hydraulic press.
• Keeps production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments

Position Requirements
