Job description

Position Summary:

As an Engineer of Component Engineering, you will help introduce and maintain the component database, ensuring it is optimal for Advanced Energy products from a technology, supply, and total life cycle perspective. You will support our design engineers and commodity managers in product development and maintenance. Your role involves proactively ensuring components used are high quality, reliable, and cost-effective, managing the component system, and assisting in the company's transformation, including performing data analysis specific to the magnetics commodity.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the design team to fulfill customer requirements for the NPI model during RFQ and kick-off stages, and agree on component selection based on application and customer needs.
2. Review with manufacturers and support any technical issues related to components from design to production.
3. Lead and coordinate with design and production teams for disposition and ensure that alternative proposals do not affect design, quality, delivery, and schedules.
4. Review supplier PCNs, maintain data integrity, and manage the iPro system, including HTS code assignment.
5. Conduct regular data analysis of specified component categories to drive continuous improvement, develop a Preferred Part List, and foster collaboration and cost advantages between engineering and supply chain management.
6. Interface with suppliers on technology roadmaps and coordinate with global design teams for product development.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of magnetics components.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Good command of English and Mandarin.
• Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a senior position.
