Responsibilities

• Create and revise Mechanical and Electrical OEM COTS component models using Creo, Windchill & Adobe.
• Create Creo part-level models with flexible sections to match motion abilities of the component.
• Create new family table instances and/or family tables for qualifying components.
• Ensure models match manufacturer specifications to predict fit and interference in assemblies.
• Ensure electrical models include features for proper cable assemblies and Creo Schematics models.
• Assess models and docs from team members for parameter accuracy vs. manufacturer specs.
• Use Adobe Acrobat to generate specification sheets for components.
• Implement customer-provided redline markups.
• Verify own work against parameters and modeling standards against manufacturer specs.
• Generate Engineering Change Requests including redline markups.

Job description

A Component Designer-Checker job in Phoenix, AZ 85008 is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a associate's in computer Aided Design or similar and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional info:

• Create and revise Mechanical and Electrical OEM Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) component models and specification sheets utilizing Creo, Windchill & Adobe.
• Able to create Creo part level models with the ability to flex sections of the model as needed to accurately correspond with the motion abilities of the actual component.
• Creation of new family table instances and/or new family tables for qualifying components
• Assures that mechanical component models match manufacturer specifications to assure proper space and interface representations in upper-level assembly models to accurately predict the fit and potential interferences.
• Assures that electrical component models contain necessary features to assure proper assembly capabilities in necessary cable assemblies and electro-mechanical Creo Schematics models.
• Assess the models and documentation created by other team members to verify parameters, accuracy of information, and verification of the model to the manufacturer"s specifications.
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat software to generate accurate specification sheets for individual component parts being created.
• Implementation of customer provided redline markups.
• Verifies own completed work checking parameters, modeling standards, and accuracy of part models with manufacturer"s specifications.
• Generation of Engineering Change Requests including necessary redline markups interpreted through customer input.

Required:

• Requires Associates in Computer Aided Design, or similar degree.
• Must have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills ensuring positive customer relations.
• Must have ability on Creo platform, including experience in creation and modification of family table objects is required.
• Previous experience with Windchill PLM is required.

Preferred:

• Beneficial to have knowledge and implementation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Beneficial to have demonstrated abilities with Creo Schematics.
• Beneficial to have demonstrated abilities with Creo surfacing.
• Beneficial to have prior leadership experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $72,800 to $93,600 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
